Happy Friday!

Holy Crap I can’t stop laughing at this AP “story”. Got us out of the mess? Past tense like it is a forgone conclusion. My lord he is simply delusional and completely out of touch with the sentiment in this country in regards to the economy and piling deficits.

Unemployment is still 9.5%, and it's only that low because so many people have given up looking for work.

Foreclosures are still at record highs.

Retail sales have dropped by more than minor amounts for two months in a row.

The government's budget deficit is over $1 trillion for the second year in a row (it's really over $100 billion worse).

I love how he sets up the false choice of the policies that got us into this mess...he is lying straight to your face. Some of the policies he is blaming for the mess (TARP,etc.), he is just doubling down on. And the one that should have been looked at with the most scrutiny (Fannie and Freddie) is completely ignored in this new Fin-Reg package.

Oh I forgot his policies have "saved or created" 3 million jobs even though since the stimulus passed we have lost 4.4 million jobs from the rolls. He is an arrogant jagoff. I am not convinced yet of the total whitewashing the Democrat Party will get in November, we need candidates that offer real alternatives to this orgy of spending.

Obama: Voters to decide who caused 'this mess'

(AP) – 7 hours ago

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama acknowledges that the fall elections could amount to a referendum on his stewardship of the nation's affairs.

Obama tells NBC in an interview that "nobody in the White House is satisfied" with continuing high unemployment.

But he also says the midterm congressional elections could come down to "a choice between the policies that got us into this mess and my policies that got us out of this mess."

The president said in the interview he believes voters "are going to say the policies that got us into this mess, we can't go back to." He also said Washington "has spent an inordinate amount of time on politics — who's up and who's down — and not enough on what we're doing for the American people."
